Muhammara

I recently went to a wine tasting, where the vineyard served sourdough with muhammara as an accompaniment to the wine flight. It was my husband’s first experience eating muhammara and he raved about it. The vineyard’s muhammara was tasty, but I thought I could make something even better. It just so happened that I had a big jar of roasted red bell peppers, so I went to work. My husband tried this muhammara and declared I’d done it, after which he proceeded to eat all of it. And every batch I made after that until the whole jar of roasted peppers was gone. So I roasted the red bell peppers I had on hand, and that muhammara was immediately consumed. So now he has to wait until I replenish my roasted red bell pepper stock.
